متى نستخدم المضارع البسيط؟
يستخدم المضارع البسيط (Present Simple) في الحالات الآتية:
- العادات والأعمال المتكررة: I check my email every morning.
- الحقائق العامة والأمور الثابتة: Water boils at 100 degrees. The bank opens at 8.
- وصف الوظيفة والروتين: She works in the finance department.
- الجداول والمواعيد الثابتة: The bus leaves at 7:30.
تكوين الجملة المثبتة
الفاعل + الفعل في صورته الأصلية. لكن إذا كان الفاعل مفرداً غائباً (he, she, it أو اسماً مفرداً) نضيف s إلى الفعل:
- I / you / we / they work.
- he / she / it works.
أمثلة: My father works in a bank. The company sells furniture. They work from Sunday to Thursday.
قواعد إضافة s
- القاعدة العامة: نضيف s: read تصبح reads.
- الأفعال المنتهية بـ s أو sh أو ch أو x أو o نضيف لها es: watch تصبح watches، go تصبح goes، do تصبح does.
- الأفعال المنتهية بحرف ساكن ثم y نحذف y ونضيف ies: study تصبح studies. أما play فتصبح plays لأن قبل y حرف علة.
- الفعل have يصبح has.
النفي
نستخدم الفعل المساعد do not (don't) أو does not (doesn't) مع الفعل في صورته الأصلية بدون s:
- I don't like coffee.
- They don't work on Friday.
- She doesn't speak French. (وليس doesn't speaks)
فعندما نستخدم does تنتقل إليها علامة الغائب المفرد، ويعود الفعل إلى أصله.
السؤال
نبدأ بـ Do أو Does ثم الفاعل ثم الفعل الأصلي:
- Do you work here? Yes, I do. / No, I don't.
- Does he live in Benghazi? Yes, he does. / No, he doesn't.
ومع أدوات الاستفهام: What do you do? (ما عملك؟) Where does she work? When do the shops close?
ظروف التكرار (Adverbs of Frequency)
تبيّن عدد مرات حدوث الفعل، وترتيبها من الأكثر إلى الأقل:
- always: دائماً
- usually: عادة
- often: غالباً
- sometimes: أحياناً
- rarely: نادراً
- never: أبداً
مكانها: قبل الفعل الأساسي، وبعد فعل الكينونة:
- He always arrives early.
- We sometimes work late.
- She is never late.

فقرة نموذجية
Omar is an accountant. He works for a small company in Zawiya. He usually starts work at eight o'clock. He checks the invoices and prepares reports. He doesn't work on Fridays. On Saturdays, he visits his family. Does he like his job? Yes, he does.
